Comedy Central Buys Pilot from Nick Turner and Lee Rubenstein

Comedy Central has bought a pilot from Nick Turner and Lee Rubenstein. The single camera show, Crazy House, follows "two friends who, after accidentally sending their boss into a coma via an office prank, successfully plead insanity and are sentenced to an asylum."

Turner, who was featured on our list of up-and-coming comics, has been seen on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, and is cast member on Best Week Ever. Rubenstein is a contributor to "Weekend Update" and is a performer at UCB in Los Angeles.

You Had To Be There #92: Nick Turner

This week, Sara and Nikki are back from their break with news of humorous iPads and difficult dads. This is comedian Nick Turner's (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, If You Build It at UCBeast) third time as a guest on the podcast, a stratospheric record matched only by Kurt Braunohler. Nick gives a preview of the upcoming Best Week Ever reboot he's currently gearing up for, inspiring the ladies, each of whom was recognized in public over the holidays, to share infant-TV-show stories of their own. Nick's tale of a date tainted by Twitter spurs an entire talk about the faux pas lurking in Tweets and texts. [...]

It's That Episode: Nick Turner Enjoys Breasts with BBC's 'Coupling'

Nick Turner (Best Week Ever) introduces Craig to the British TV show Coupling, with a half-English, half-Hebrew, half-gibberish episode called "The Girl with Two Breasts." Nick and Craig discuss British TV shows coming to America, find out what a "gusset" is and talk about Nick falling out of a canoe.

Watch Nick Turner Try to Do Stand-Up While His Keys Are Locked in the Car with the Engine Running

New York-based stand-up Nick Turner accidentally locked his keys in his car with the engine running right before going onstage to perform this set at Wyatt Cenac's show Night Train. He also locked his set list in the car too, which causes him to only talk about his car situation for the entire set. It's completely understandable because I can't imagine being able to think/talk about anything else with my keys locked in the car and the engine running, and it turns out to be a super funny and exciting set.

Watch Nick Turner Face Off with a Drugged-Up Heckler

Here's comedian Nick Turner performing at the excellent L.A. stand-up show Holy Fuck when a heckler who seems to be under the influence of something misinterprets his joke and freaks out. Hit the jump for a video of Turner telling the joke he's trying to tell here, uninterrupted. As you may recall, Nick Turner was the guy who performed a set after he accidentally locked his keys in the car with the engine running the whole time last month. Hopefully, terrible things won't continue to happen to him when he performs stand-up.
