Sony Is Making Alterations to Seth Rogen's 'The Interview' Before Its Christmas Release

It turns out that North Korea's missiles and complaints about Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's newest assassination comedy The Interview being "an act of war" that "shows the desperation of the US government and American society" have been taken seriously by Sony, because THR reports today that the film will undergo a bunch of changes prior to its release on December 25th. According to the report, the studio is not only "digitally altering thousands of buttons worn by characters … because they depict the actual hardware worn by the North Korean military" that honor Kim Jong-un and his father Kim Jong-il, but they're also reconsidering [...]

North Korea Condemns Rogen/Franco Movie 'The Interview' But Kim Jong-un Will Probably Watch It Anyway

The recently released trailer for Seth Rogen's new movie The Interview (due out October 10th) has already made waves with its main plot and joke target North Korea in the form of an official condemnation of the film. According to Variety, the executive director of the Centre for North Korea-U.S. Peace was "dismissive" in an interview with the Telegraph about the movie: "There is a special irony in this storyline," he said, "as it shows the desperation of the US government and American society." He added, however, that dictator Kim Jong-un — who is played in the film by Randall Park — would "probably watch the [...]

Avery Jessup Is Returning, Or Else Is Still Kidnapped

Avery Jessup is coming back to the US a free woman! Or possibly she will continue to be held hostage by Kim Jong-un. But either way, she'll be getting some screen time this May, when Elizabeth Banks reprises the role for May sweeps. The show's been stringing this North Korea plotline out for a while, so my bet is that Jessup will be back in the USA come sweeps. And what better excuse to bring Jack Donaghy's uncomfortable attraction to his mother-in-law to an awkward, incestuous head?

Did North Korea Launch Three Missiles Because of Seth Rogen?

Yesterday, North Korea said that the upcoming Rogen/Franco comedy The Interview, in which the two plan to secretly assassinate Kim Jung-Un, was an "act of war." Just a bunch of bluster from a famously blustery country, right? Uh, well… North Korea fired three short-range projectiles off its east coast on Thursday, a day after it warned of retaliation against the release of an American comedy film involving a plot to kill its leader, Kim Jong-un.

That's from the New York Times. The missiles were a test, and landed somewhere in the water between North Korea and Japan. It's not clear what type of missiles they were just [...]

Being a Comedian in North Korea Is Terrible

North Korean comedian Lee Choon Hong was sentenced to hard labor in a coal mine after she made a "slip of the tongue" on a "sensitive issue" while performing standup for workers at a government work site.

North Koreans Hated The Three Stooges Trailer About as Much as You Did

This video from Happy Endings writer Gil Ozeri is pretty fantastic and irrefutably proves the thesis that the trailer for The Three Stooges is a universal tragedy transcending political boundaries. We suffer together, as one people. Today, and every day until the movie leaves theaters.

North Korea Declares Seth Rogen and James Franco's 'The Interview' an "Act of War"

North Korea is growing more and more upset over Seth Rogen and James Franco's new movie The Interview, which stars the duo as a talk show host and his sidekick who are tasked with assassinating Kim Jong-un (played by Korean-American actor Randall Park). A spokesperson for North Korea's foreign ministry told the country's state-controlled news service today that the film's release will be considered an "act of war that we will never tolerate."

Last week, North Korea condemned the movie but said that Kim Jong-Un would probably watch it anyway. Here's a bunch of other crazy stuff the North Korea spokesperson said about The Interview in the report [...]

Conan O'Brien Has a Plan to Defend Us from North Korea

Here's a clip from Conan last night  in which he lays out a totally real plan to defend us in the event that North Korea sends a nuclear attack America's way – by just throwing Florida to Kim Jong-un . It's pretty much our only option.
