Paul Scheer must be the comedic actor everyone can agree on because as of publication he’s appeared in shows on the following networks: MTV, Fox, Comedy Central, IFC, Adult Swim, NBC, FX, E!, HBO, ABC and Starz.
Sure, some of those are blink-and-you’ll-miss-him bit parts, but there are also plenty of starring roles, including his portrayal of Dr. Andre Nowzick on FX’s The League, as well as Trent Hauser on Adult Swim’s NTSF:SD:SUV, a show he also created.

Like a lot of San Diegans, I’m originally from somewhere else. My family moved here when I was but a slip of a lad, however, and I’ve definitely lived here longer than anywhere else. When I first moved here at the age of 12, I hated it intensely, bristling at the intense cultural differences between suburban Los Angeles and suburban San Diego in the way only a seventh grader can. But that hatred blossomed into a weird love/hate relationship that can only be justified by the glowing eye of my television set.

Adult Swim has turned what started as a spoof commercial by Paul Scheer on Children's Hospital into its own show. Taking aim at crime procedurals in a similar way to how Children's Hospital takes on hospital dramas, National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle (NTSF: SD: SUV for short) has been picked up for 12 episodes to be written by Scheer. It all started with the above (amazing) clip, which apparently acted as a pilot and got them the entire run.
