Earwolf Launches New Shows from Brian Posehn, Adam McKay, Funny or Die

The Earwolf podcast network is debuting two new shows this week, one from Mr. Show alum Brian Posehn and one from Funny or Die that stars the comedy website's bosses Adam McKay and Owen Burke. Posehn, who wrote for Mr. Show alongside Earwolf founder Scott Aukerman, hosts Nerd Poker, a podcast that brings you along for a weekly Dungeons & Dragons game between Posehn and his friends. McKay and Burke's show, Owen & TJ Read the News,  is a monthly podcast in which McKay plays an aspiring rapper/cell phone case salesman named TJ who reports the latest news alongside Owen Burke (playing himself). Vince Vaughn's Sullivan And Son Gets Most of a Cast

Valerie Azlynn, Jodi Long, Vivian Bang and Owen Benjamin join the upcoming Vince-Vaughn-produced sitcom Sullivan And Son, which stars comedian Steve Byrne as a high-faluting New York lawyer who moves back to Pittsburgh to take over his parents' bar. If this sounds like Cheers, well, that's because its co-writer and showrunner is Cheers alum Rob Long. I am left to assume that Vivian Bang will be portraying the Carla? I'm hoping everyone will be playing a myriad of different Carlas?

Talking to David Koechner and Owen Benjamin About the Splitting Hairs Comedy Tour and 'Anchorman 2'

David Koechner has teamed up with fellow Saturday Night Live alum Abby Elliott and Owen Benjamin, standup and star of TBS's Sullivan and Son, to tour the country via bus with a branded comedy tour called Splitting Hairs, sponsored by AXE Hair in association with Comedy Central. I recently had the chance to speak with David Koechner and Owen Benjamin while they were all riled up from being on a tour bus for a long time. We discussed the tour and the long-awaited sequel to Anchorman, which David Koechner says might maybe possibly be out in theaters next Christmas.

Here's a stand-up showcase featuring Comedy Central's latest batch of 10 Comics to Watch from the New York Comedy Festival this weekend. Owen Benjamin (TBS's Sullivan & Son) hosted the show, and Comedy Central's "Comics to Watch" this year are David Agyekum, Asif Ali, Kate Berlant, Matt D, Chris Distefano, Phil Hanley, Andrew Santino, Lisa Treyger, Brooks Whelan, and Hampton Yount.
