Judd Apatow, Paul Rust, Gillian Jacobs, and Lesley Arfin May Be Developing a Comedy for Hulu

Vulture is reporting that a pretty amazing-sounding comedy may be in development for Hulu. A pilot script for a show called Love has been written by Judd Apatow, Paul Rust (Super Fun Night, and Lesley Arfin (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, with an eye on Rust and Community's Gillian Jacobs co-starring. Apatow may direct the show, and Brent Forrester (The Simpsons, The Office, Undeclared) may be the showrunner.

As for what the show would be about: A person familiar with the pilot script describes Love as a character-based comedy revolving around relationships, romantic and otherwise, with one (very messed-up) couple in particular at the center. And, because this is Judd Apatow, [...]

Watch Adam Scott's New 'Greatest Event in Television History' Special with Amy Poehler

Last night, Adult Swim aired Adam Scott's special, The Greatest Event in Television History, his second under that name. The 18-minute special, embedded in its entirety above, is a mockumentary that chronicles Scott's attempts to recreate the opening credits to '80s detective show Hart to Hart with Amy Poehler and Horatio Sanz, concluding with the actual full-on shot-for-shot recreation. The mockumentary portion also features appearances from Paul Rust, Paul Scheer (who co-wrote with Scott), David Wain, Nick Kroll, and, of course, host Jeff Probst. The previous Greatest Event in Television History special featured Scott and Jon Hamm recreating the opening credits to Simon & Simon.

Apatow Produced Pee-Wee Herman Movie to Start Filming Very Soon

While at an event promoting the Disney animated series TRON: Uprising, Paul Reubens updated Collider on the new Judd Apatow produced Pee-Wee Movie:

As far as I know, it’s getting shot very soon. I actually wasn’t supposed to talk about it, initially. I was talking about it in this very veiled, secretive way, saying, “Oh, I wish I could talk about it.” A journalist figured out that it was Judd Apatow that I was talking about because my writing partner was in the audience and he’s written so much with Judd. So, it got leaked about six months to a year before it was supposed to.

Paul Reubens Says His Pee-Wee Herman Movie Has a Director, Funding, and Will Hopefully Shoot in 2014

Pee-Wee Herman's long-awaited return to the big screen may finally be happening. When speaking to The LA Times to promote The Smurfs 2 yesterday, Paul Reubens revealed that the upcoming Pee-Wee movie has funding, a finished script, and a director. He declined to reveal who said director is but said it's likely the film will shoot next year. Reubens also spoke vaguely about a new TV show, which The Times says is "potentially though not necessarily an update on Pee-wee’s Playhouse." He didn't give any details beyond saying an announcement is imminent and the show will be on the air in 2014, adding, "Short of something unforeseen like the studio [...]

Rob Heubel Leads an Action Movie Pun Briainstorm

CollegeHumor is moving into Funny or Die territory, now releasing a new video every week with a known star rather than sticking to their core lineup of actors that they usually go to. This week: Rob Heubel. The video features Heubel as an action star who takes the time to brainstorm pithy puns before violently taking down evil henchmen. It's pretty great!
