Somebody's Making a 'Good Times' Movie
There's no deal signed for an Arrested Development movie yet, but Sony Pictures is working to turn the 1970s sitcom Good Times into a feature film. Deadline reports that Sony and producer Scott Rudin (True Grit, The Social Network) have teamed up and hired Phil Johnston (Cedar Rapids, Wreck-It Ralph) to write the script. Developed by Norman Lear, Good Times ran for six seasons on CBS from 1974 to 1979 and followed an African-American family living in a Chicago housing project. The movie will be set in the '60s.
