It's official: Universal is making a sequel to Pitch Perfect. While the studio began exploring the option of sequelizing the college a cappella comedy last year, /Film reports that a sequel has officially been greenlit and they're aiming for a 2015 release. The original movie's writer Kay Cannon will be returning to script Pitch Perfect 2, but there's no confirmation on any of the cast coming back yet. Given that they all reunited at the MTV Movie Awards this past weekend, I'd say there's a pretty good chance everyone will be back. Movieweb reports that discussions are taking place for a sequel to the best collegiate a cappella comedy of 2012, Pitch Perfect. Universal has yet to make an official announcement on Pitch Perfect 2, but one of the first movie's stars, Skylar Astin told Movieweb that he and fellow cast member Rebel Wilson have each taken meetings with the studio about a potential sequel.
