'Wet Hot American Summer' Adds Rob Huebel, Michaela Watkins, John Slattery, and More

The Wet Hot American Summer Netflix series just added some new cast members. Deadline reports that Michaela Watkins, John Slattery, Josh Charles, Randall Park, Jayma Mays, Lake Bell, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel, and Richard Schiff have all been added to the cast in addition to the original performers. 'Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp' Hits Netflix Friday July 17th

Netflix announced a round of premiere dates today, and now you can start your official countdown for the glorious eight-episode return of Wet Hot American Summer, which is officially set to debut on the streaming network Friday, July 17th. In addition to Wet Hot, Netflix also announced premiere dates for three standup specials (Chris D'Elia: Incorrigible on April 17, Jen Kirkman: I'm Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine) on May 22, and What Happened, Miss Simone on June 26th) as well as season 3 of Orange Is the New Black on June 12th.

Netflix in Talks for a 10-Episode 'Wet Hot American Summer' Prequel Series

There's been talk about a prequel/sequel to director David Wain's cult hit Wet Hot American Summer for years now, and now, it looks like that project may wind up being a prequel TV series. Variety reports that Netflix is in talks to produce a 10-episode series that would serve as a prequel to Wet Hot American Summer. The hypothetical series would be executive produced by Wain and his co-writer on the original film, Michael Showalter, although it's unclear if they'll return to write/direct the show. Netflix has declined to comment.

Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Jason Schwartzman, and Chris Pine Join 'Wet Hot American Summer'

As if the upcoming eight-part Wet Hot American Summer Netflix series couldn't get any better, Deadline reports that four major stars have been added to the already amazing ensemble: Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Jason Schwartzman, and Chris Pine. Hamm will play a "secret spy," Wiig will play a "snobby counselor at the preppy rival camp Camp Tigerclaw,"and Pine's character is only described as "mysterious." The series is set to debut sometime this summer.

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul Cameos Are Planned for 'Better Call Saul'

Creator Vince Gilligan shared some new info about Breaking Bad's upcoming spinoff/prequel, tentatively titled Better Call Saul, in a Hollywood Reporter profile today.  Both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, in addition to other Breaking Bad actors, have expressed interest in making cameos in the new show, which will be centered on Bob Odenkirk's sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman. Gilligan says he intends to make this happen: "Personally, I'd have a hard time resisting putting all these guys in for a cameo or two every now and then."
