The Camel’s Dream, by Evan Waite and Frank Santopadre

“I may be 46 years old, but it is never too late to chase my rap dreams,” said the Camel to his wife. “I want to move the crowd!”

The Camel’s wife did not wish to hear this. For almost 20 years she had endured her husband’s delusions of becoming a world-famous rapper. “But your rhymes are stale,” groaned the Camel’s wife.

The Camel would not listen. He was convinced that the next mixtape would be the one to take him to the top, despite the fact that the last 12 had not. Day after day, the Camel recorded songs filled with empty braggadocio and clichéd imagery. His wife simply [...]

Somebody at 'Jimmy Fallon' Edited Brian Williams Clips Together to Make Him Rap a Snoop Dogg Song

I don't know how much time went into editing this footage of newsman Brian Williams together to make it so he's rapping Snoop Dogg's "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang," but I want more.

Rebel Wilson 'Tis a Rapper Named Rebelicious Aka Little Reb Aka…

Why are they playing "Get Ur Freak On" in the background? The song's awesome and we always need people to tell us what to get on, but there has to be a more recent freak command-based tune. If not, what do we have Nicki Minaj for? For that British monster voice thing? Pssh. Still, this is great and at some point Rebel just yells for no reason. [Via]

Thank You For Financing My Diss Track, by Erik Cofer

Mom, Dad, I feel like it's finally time for me to come clean about my latest project. You remember that $20,000 you loaned me six months ago? Well, it wasn't for "paying off gambling debt" like I claimed. The money actually financed a studio-quality recording in which I mercilessly rip the both of you to shreds over sonic layers of flawlessly-mixed hip-hop. In the music community, we call this a "diss track."

Before you rush to judgment, let me just say that this isn't about you. Not entirely, at least. I also recorded diss tracks to my landlord, my former landlords, some guy at Dairy Queen who [...]

Donald Glover Is Putting Out a New Childish Gambino Album This Winter

Ex-Community star Donald Glover put out this YouTube video this morning to announce the release of his new album under rap alter ego Childish Gambino. It's called Because the Internet, and it's set to come out sometime this winter. Check out a longer cut of the track from the video, "yaphet kotto", below:

Jerry Seinfeld Will Be on Wale's Next Rap Album

Rapper Wale released The Mixtape About Nothing in 2008, a hip-hop album that heavily sampled and referenced Seinfeld and even featured an appearance from Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Now, for his follow-up, Album About Nothing, he's got Jerry Seinfeld himself on board to make an appearance. Seinfeld explains in the below video, "Wale wanted me to do something with him and I didn't understand it, but he did, and I kinda liked the guy, I dug the guy, I liked his music, so I said 'Alright, I'll do it,' even though I didn't know what I was gonna do." No word yet on when the mixtape will be released, but, [...]

Troy and Abed Are Going Hard in the Paint This Thursday

Full disclosure, I don't really know what it means to "go hard in the paint" but I know it's a rap thing and oh my god oh my god oh my god. I'm literally shivering with anticipation at how happy this preview of tomorrow's Community Christmas episode is going to make all of you. Especially you, Childish Gambino fans. Yeah.

Watch a Music Video Hannibal Buress Made with Open Mike Eagle

Here's a music video for the song "Doug Stamper" from comedian Open Mike Eagle that heavily features comedian Hannibal Buress. Buress bookends the video, opening it up co-hosting "The Advice Show" with Eagle in a comedy segment that kicks things off and closing it out by rapping a verse of the song. For those who have heard Buress perform "Gibberish Rap," his hip hop prowess comes as no surprise.

Watch Rapper Wale in the Studio with Jerry Seinfeld

Here's rapper Wale and Jerry Seinfeld in the studio recording the track "Outro About Nothing" for Wale's latest album The Gifted, which came out yesterday. Wale, a huge Seinfeld fan, had Julia Louis-Dreyfus cameo on his Seinfeld-inspired 2008 mixtape, Mixtape About Nothing, and he's planning on using Jerry Seinfeld for his upcoming Album About Nothing. The above video also features Wale discussing how inspired he is by Jerry Seinfeld being the richest person he knows, so there's that.

Listen to Hannibal Buress's Hip Hop Debut

Over the past few years, Hannibal Buress has risen to the top of the stand-up food chain to become one of the country's most popular comedians, and now, he has his eye set on dominating the hip hop world too. Actually, that's not true, but he did record a silly hip hop song called "Gibberish Rap."  The song was recorded by Buress's friend, producer Tony Trimm, and sees Buress rapping over a beat by Clams Casino. Hit the jump to listen to the track and you can follow along with the lyrics here.

Jimmy Fallon And Justin Timberlake School Us All In "The History of Rap, Pt. 3"

Get out your notebook and your ruler and your binder (no, Mom, the kind with the folder that comes in it. The bendy kind. I don't know, 1 inch?), cause we're about to get SCHOOLED. What's that? You thought school was out? Well, it isn't. And I don't know why you would think that, because it is October, which is clearly right in the middle of the fall term. Stop being difficult, all right? Just listen to Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake rap together.
