Gregg Turkington, John C. Reilly, and Michael Cera to Star in New Movie from the Director of 'The Comedy'

Comedian Gregg Turkington, best known for his hack standup character Neil Hamburger, has been cast as the lead in Entertainment, a new movie from Rick Alverson, director of the 2012 Tim Heidecker-starring drama The Comedy. Deadline reports that John C. Reilly, Michael Cera, and Heidecker are playing supporting roles in the film, as well.

Co-written by its director Rick Alverson, The Comedy stars Wareheim, LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, and Gregg Turkington (a.k.a Neil Hamburger) as Heidecker’s friends. The movie will be released on VOD and iTunes on October 24th and in limited release in theaters on [...]
