John Stamos and Rob Lowe are headed to Fox to star in their own comedies. According to THR, the network has given series commitments to single-cam comedies The Grinder starring Lowe, Grandfathered starring Stamos, and a new post-college comedy called The Guide to Surviving Life.

In The Grinder, Lowe plays a famous TV lawyer named Dean Sanderson who moves back to his hometown, and Fred Savage plays his little brother Stewart Sanderson "who is constantly in his shadow." Will Forte isn't the only performer to star in a show about the end of the world this year. Deadline reports that Rob Lowe, Jenna Fischer, and Megan Mullally have all joined the cast of Apocalypse Slough, an upcoming 10-part comedy/drama series on British channel Sky 1 that NBC is also set to air in the US. Described as "an adrenaline-fueled witty epic," Slough centers on "an eclectic group of ordinary people in an extraordinary situation: a collision is imminent with an eight-mile wide comet that’s destined to wipe out all life on Earth. Rob Lowe, Elizabeth Banks, and Will Forte Are '80s Chic in the 'Moonbeam City' Trailer

Back in January, Comedy Central announced that they had picked up Moonbeam City, an animated Miami Vice-style parody from Funny or Die and Conan writer Scott Gairdner, and the first trailer is now online. Starring Rob Lowe, Elizabeth Banks, Will Forte, and Kate Mara as a team of undercover cops with wonderfully tacky names, Moonbeam City looks like the perfect show for Lisa Frank fans and gritty cop drama fans alike and is slated to premiere in spring 2015.

It was announced this summer that cast members Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe are leaving Parks and Recreation at mideason, and that sad episode is finally airing next week on Thursday, January 30th. Entitled "Ann and Chris," the episode finds Leslie throwing a big going away party for Ann and Chris, while Ron and Andy search for the perfect going away gift for Chris. Rob Lowe Says He Plans to Return to 'Parks and Rec' as a Guest Star

Rob Lowe stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman last night, and Letterman couldn't wait to ask him about his decision to leave Parks and Recreation, so Lowe assured him that he expects to return as a guest star in the future. Letterman's admiration for Amy Poehler and her show are well-documented, so it's no huge surprise when he defends her honor against Lowe's terrible accusations.

Rob Lowe has a new starring TV role lined up. Variety reports that Fox has given a pilot order to a single-cam comedy called The Grinder, which centers on Lowe as a TV lawyer named Dean Anderson who reaches "a crossroads in life after his long-running hit show comes to an end. He decides to move back to his small hometown, under the impression that his experience as a television personality has prepped him to take over his family’s law firm."
