Roman Coppola's Charlie Sheen/Jason Schwartzman/Bill Murray Movie Fails to Impress Critics

Roman Coppola's new movie, A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, which stars Charlie Sheen, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Patricia Arquette, and Aubrey Plaza, made its debut at the Rome Film Festival yesterday, and critics aren't exactly wild about it. Coppola, who co-wrote The Darjeeling Limited and Moonrise Kingdom with Wes Anderson, wrote and directed Charles Swan solo. It stars Charlie Sheen as a partyin', womanizing graphic designer (a character that's surprisingly not based on Sheen in any way). Schwartzman and Murray play supporting roles as Sheen's comedian best friend and accountant, respectively.

Charlie Sheen Channels Yet Another Charlie Alongside Jason Schwartzman

Having played Charlie Harper in Two And A Half Men and Disaster Charlie in his own upcoming Comedy Central roast, Charlie Sheen is currently approaching Adaptation-levels of self-critique by signing onto Roman Coppola's A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charlie Swan III. Costarring with Jason Schwartzman, Sheen will depict the titular character, "a successful graphic designer whose fame, money and charm have made his girlfriend breaks up with him, [and] his life heads into a downward spiral." I sincerely hope Coppola understands his movie is about three porn stars and eight tiger blood references away from winning an Academy Award for Best Picture.
