Ian Edwards, Max Silvestri, Sean O'Connor, and Dan St. Germain All Have Standup Albums Out Today

Today's a massive day in the standup album world, as four releases from notable comedians are all coming out on the same day. Ian Edwards's 100% Half-Assed, is the first release from Conan O'Brien's new label Team Coco, and Max Silvestri's King PigletSean O'Connor's James Dean Type, and Dan St. Germain's Bad at the Good Times are all via AST Records. It's the first album for all four standups.

Jonah Ray, Gabe Liedman, Nikki Glaser, and More to Film Comedy Central Half-Hour Specials

Comedy Central has long been the best showcase of stand-up on TV, and every year, the network releases a series of half-hour specials from talented folks. The Comedy Bureau has obtained a list of comedians set to record specials this year, and it's an especially strong group. The half-hour specials will be release as part of Comedy Central's show The Half-Hour, which is the successor to its old show Comedy Central Presents, and the batch of episodes should drop sometime this summer. Sean O'Connor Does Stand-up, Talks about Drugs and Magic Camp on 'Conan'

L.A.-based stand-up Sean O'Connor dropped by Conan last night, debuting what stand-ups refer to as a really good "tight five." It was the second appearance on the show for O'Connor, an up-and-comer who wrote for Sports Show with Norm Macdonald last year and is currently staffed on upcoming Comedy Central series The Ben Show. O'Connor covers a lot of ground in his Conan set and, most importantly, makes a great argument for Magic Camp not being an effective drug counseling program.
