Here's a clip from Aziz Ansari's recent visit to Sesame Street, where he and Grover were tasked with using chicken costumes, stove top hats, and extreme levels of silliness to explain the word of the day "ridiculous."

Vine 5 Film Festival: Absolutely No Lemons

Vine is a toy from Twitter that challenges users to make the most profound work ever committed to video in exactly six seconds. Or at the very least, challenges comedians to bring a little more laughter into this world. Every Tuesday we showcase five of the funniest short shorts of the past week.

Your RSS feed might be difficult and not show the videos, but trust us – they are there.

Cookie Monster Creates SNL Audition Tape, Starts Campaign to Host

Well, this is amazing. The crew at Sesame Street made an SNL audition tape for Cookie Monster that includes an opening monologue, a "Macarooner" sketch, a weekend update parody, a musical performance by "Monster Gaga" and goodbyes while the credits run. It's all a part of a campaign to get Cookie Monster to host the show, which is really tough to argue with. I love everything about this so much.

Jason Bateman Keeps Covered Up on Sesame Street

Jason Bateman wisely kept his cleavage covered up when he joined Elmo on Sesame Street. Although really, a bit of controversy probably could have landed him on SNL, which is more of his key demographic than Sesame Street.

Every day is Bill Cosby Day in spirit, but today is one of the few that we're treated to full articles about his best moments on TV. From his early comedy specials to appearances on Sesame Street to guest spots on Letterman just last year, this piece covers the full range of – wait, where is Kids Say the Darndest Things? Where is it?? I can only assuming the omission is a grave oversight and not the SLAP IN THE FACE it appears to be. Penning my reproachful letter to the editor now.

Ricky Gervais and Elmo Make a Great Comedy Duo

Sesame Street it really pumping out the viral videos lately, and they're actually pretty awesome. The latest features Ricky Gervais trying to help Elmo fall asleep in the most unhelpful way possible. The best part about these celebrity cameo Sesame Street videos is how the guests get to be themselves and do their own style of humor while fitting into the show's world.

Jimmy Fallon and The Roots Did the 'Sesame Street' Theme Song With Muppet Help

The Muppet cast of Sesame Street joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots last night to perform the Sesame Street theme song on classroom instruments, complete with a Sesame-themed rap from Black Thought. It's hard to tell whether The Roots are making Sesame Street cooler or the other way around, but it's a beautiful melding of late night comedy and children's television.

Elmo's Puppeteer Finally Speaks In Regular Voice

Look no further than this interview with Elmo's puppeteer Kevin Clash if you want to know which celebrities cry when they guest star on Sesame Street (hint: all of them). Clash also reveals just how desperate Ricky Gervais is to work on a project with Elmo (hint: very desperate).

Let Ty Burrell Explain to You What a Hexagon Is

Ty Burrell has quickly become on of my favorite comedic actors out there, and this great clip from his appearance on Sesame Street only makes my love for him grow stronger.
