Monty Python to Release Five New Songs this Summer

To coincide with their 10 Monty Python Live (Mostly) London comeback shows this summer, the legendary comedy group has also announced that they'll be re-releasing their 1989 album Monty Python Sings, only the new version will include five new never-before-heard tracks. Here's Paul F. Tompkins singing Adele's theme from the James Bond movie Skyfall with a full band backing him up. It's a spectacular performance from the final Paul F. Tompkins Show of 2012, his monthly variety show at the L.A. nightclub Largo. Tompkins is taking a little break from The Paul F. Tompkins Show, but he's promised via Tumblr to share more cool stuff from his personal video archive in the new year and we all know Tumblr promises can't be broken.

Fred Armisen Is Releasing 7" Singles from All His Fake 'SNL' Bands

Get ready to blast the sweet sounds of "Massachusetts Afternoon" on your vintage record player, because Pitchfork reports that SNL/Portlandia star Fred Armisen is releasing a series of 7" singles from all the amazing fake bands he played in during his time at SNL called "Hometown Heroes." The first single is available on February 18th through Drag City Records and will include the above unforgettable Blue Jean Committee song as well as "Embrace Me" by The Fingerlings, a band featured in Dana Carvey's 2011 hosting gig. Listen to Robin Thicke and Ron Burgundy's Duet Off the 'Anchorman 2' Soundtrack

The Anchorman 2 soundtrack is due out December 17th, and here's the first track from it, a cover of Christopher Cross's "Ride Like the Wind" performed by Robin Thicke and Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy. There's also a music video for Burgundy and Thicke's cover of the song in the works, but you'll just have to imagine what they look like singing this together for now.
