Christopher Guest Teases a Spinal Tap 30th Anniversary Reunion in 2014

Next year marks the 30th anniversary of This Is Spinal Tap's release, and in a new interview, Christopher Guest, teased the possibility of some sort of a reunion in 2014. When asked by The Guardian if there are plans for a Spinal Tap reunion soon, Guest replied, "We get asked to do shows on a regular basis. Tenacious D Wants a Festival with All the Comedy Rock Greats (Weird Al, Conchords, Spinal Tap, et al.)

Jack Black and Kyle Gass, members of the comedy rock outfit Tenacious D, spoke to Rolling Stone today on their 20th anniversary as a band, and they laid out plans to hold a festival featuring all of the biggest names in comedy music. Dubbed "Festival Supreme," it's "a fuckin' Super Bowl of comedy-rock" in the vein of Coachella or Bonnaroo taking place on the Santa Monica Pier on October 19th of this year. Watch Fall Out Boy Do a Weird Spinal Tap Tribute on 'Conan' with Harry Shearer

Here's that band Fall Out Boy's performance on Conan last night, which was a half-baked homage to Spinal Tap, complete with an appearance by Harry Shearer. It's basically just Fall Out Boy going about a usual performance while Spinal Tap stuff happens in the background.
