Summer is typically an unusual season in the TV world, as all the broadcast series go on hiatus, cable networks air some cool stuff, and, as of late, the major networks do some weird experimental stuff that mostly doesn't end up working. This summer is no different, with cable favorites like Nathan For You, Louie (currently airing), and Comedy Bang! Bang! returning while NBC is bringing back Last Comic Standing and experimenting with a couple international comedies and Fox is debuting an improvised game show.

NBC announced its summer schedule this week, revealing that they'll be burning off its only remaining new comedy, Save Me, during the summer. Starring Anne Heche as a woman who believes God is speaking to her after she nearly chokes to death on a sandwich, Save Me looked to be one of the better comedies from NBC's 2012-13 lineup (albeit a lineup that also included 1600 Penn and Animal Practice) when the network announced its schedule last May.
