Edgar Wright Compares Self to Buster Keaton in Deleted 'Ant-Man' Tweet

On Friday, Marvel and director Edgar Wright announced that they were parting ways on the upcoming superhero movie Ant-Man. No official reason, beyond creative differences, has yet been announced, but Wright broke his silence on the matter Saturday night by tweeting the edited photo to the left. According to ScreenRant, Wright quickly deleted the photo, which features silent film star/writer/director Buster Keaton holding a Cornetto ice cream cone (Wright's trilogy of movies are known as the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy).

With the photo, which Wright titled "Selfie," the director is referencing troubles Buster Keaton had with studio MGM when he signed a contract with them in 1928. Keaton said, [...]

Mike Schur Says 'Parks and Rec' Won't Acknowledge Chris Pratt's New Superhero Body

Parks and Recreation actor Chris Pratt is preparing to star in the new Marvel superhero movie Guardians of the Galaxy, and last week, he tweeted this photo of his absurdly muscular new superhero body after six months of working out and not drinking beer. TV Guide asked Parks and Rec showrunner/co-creator Mike Schur how they're going to explain why Pratt looks this way in the new season, and he said they might not even address it.

"I was as shocked as everybody," Schur says. "I obviously knew he was getting in crazy good shape for this movie. He had already started by the time we wrapped last year. [...]

Edgar Wright Is No Longer Directing Marvel's 'Ant-Man'

Director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, The World's End) is leaving Marvel's Ant-Man. Here's the statement from Marvel and Wright announcing his departure (via The Wrap):

Marvel and Edgar Wright jointly announced today that the studio and director have parted ways on Ant-Man due to differences in their vision of the film. The decision to move on is amicable and does not impact the release date on July 17, 2015. A new director will be announced shortly.

Glenn Howerton Auditioned for Chris Pratt's Role in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy'

Earlier this year, Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt was announced as the surprising casting choice for Marvel's new summer tentpole superhero movie Guardians of the Galaxy, but it turns out he wasn't the only comedic actor considered for the role. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Glenn Howerton revealed today, in a conference call to reporters, that he also auditioned for the role of Star-Lord in the film. In response to a question about whether he'd ever like to transition into movies like his Always Sunny cohort Charlie Day, who's starred in Pacific Rim and Horrible Bosses, Howerton replied, "I did audition recently for Guardians of the Galaxy, [...]
