'SNL' Review: Seth Rogen Half-Baked

While watching Seth Rogen host SNL for the third time last weekend, I was reminded of two other three-peat hosts from earlier this season: Paul Rudd in December and Jonah Hill in January. Rudd's episode felt like extended promo for Anchorman 2, with the host failing to capture that lightning in the bottle with cast members that made his previous stints so memorable. Hill, however, seemed to enjoy himself every bit as much as he did his first two appearances.

Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, and Jonah Hill are, of course, hugely successful alumni from Team Judd Apatow, but their careers have taken diverging trajectories. Rogen and Rudd have [...]

Amy Poehler Has a Classy Response to Taylor Swift Saying She's Going to Hell

"Aw, I feel bad if [Taylor Swift] was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."

- Amy Poehler to The Hollywood Reporter in response to Taylor Swift saying she and Tina Fey are going to hell for making a joke about her at the Golden Globes.

Watch Billy Eichner as Taylor Swift in the Music Video for "Glitter and Ribs"

Here's a faux-Taylor Swift music video for a song called "Glitter and Ribs" made by Billy on the Street star Billy Eichner for Funny or Die. I wish we could replace Taylor Swift with Billy Eichner's Taylor Swift.

Jay Leno Gives Credit Where Credit Is Due

Yesterday, I wrote about how Jay Leno used a Taylor Swift montage created by Rich Juzwiak and Kate Spencer without giving credit, even after a producer called and asked to use the material and promised that credit would be given. Last night, they corrected their mistake by giving credit at the end of the show. It appeared to be an honest mistake, and kudos to the Tonight Show crew for correcting it so quickly.

Now just give the show back to Conan and we can finally move past all this ugliness.

'New Girl's Season Two Was Great, No Thanks to the Parents

New Girl concluded their excellent second season by making one of the world's most awful songs briefly profound.

"Where do we come from? Where do we go?" mumbled Nick Miller in the closing moments of last night's season finale. He was paraphrasing "Cotton Eye Joe," which he justifiably denied enjoying earlier in the episode, betrayed by his involuntary fistpumping. The first question was something that was on the minds of all of the main characters all season long, influencing their decisions as they traversed through the murky, angsty wilderness that is living as a late 20s/early 30s year old with slapstick, pregnant pauses, and a lot of yelling, sometimes [...]

"Jay Leno Ripped Me Off"

Last night on The Tonight Show, Jay Leno showed a montage of clips of Taylor Swift acting surprised to Taylor Swift. Does that montage sound familiar? Well, that's because Rich "FourFour" Juzwiak and Kate Spencer created just such a montage last week for VH1 blog The Fab Life, which went on to rack up over 200,000 views in a matter of days. And if you think it was just a coincidence, well, one of Leno's producers called Rich and asked if he could use the video if they gave credit. Well, there was no credit to be found on the show.
