Record Store Day, the annual event to celebrate international record stores, is happening on April 19th, and Best Show on WFMU comedy duo Tom Scharpling and Jon Wurster are putting out a red vinyl EP of their first phone call, "Rock, Rot & Rule." After 13 years, Tom Scharpling's influential comedy/music radio show The Best Show on WFMU came to an end last night, with one final three-hour installment that featured a lot of firsts (and lasts) for the program.

Comedian and Best Show on WFMU host Tom Scharpling has broken into voice acting. He's playing a regular character on the new Cartoon Network Steven Universe, which premiered on Monday. Scharpling's character shows up in the back half of the first episode, which you can check out here.
Scharpling previously voiced a character on an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but this is his first regular job on an animated show. After [...]
After yesterday's depressing news that The Best Show on WFMU will end its run in December, the show got a nice tribute at the final game of the World Series. Apparently the organist at Fenway Park is a Best Show fan.
