Yo La Tengo, The Decemberists, and More Are Doing 'Parks and Recreation's Rock Concert Season Finale

Parks and Recreation is doing a big rock concert episode for its April 24th season finale, and a lot of big names are slated to show up.  Co-creator/showrunner Mike Schur tells The A.V. Club that in addition to previously-announced musical guests like Jeff Tweedy and The Decemberists, the finale will also feature appearances from Yo La Tengo, Ginuwine, and Letters to Cleo. Best of all, Yo La Tengo will be playing a Night Ranger cover band called Bobby Knight Ranger. Here's Schur explaining more:

Parks And Rec's Michael Shur Directs The Decemberists' Calamity Song Video

Just like twins share a kind of psychic connection (according to Sister, Sister), so to did Parks And Rec co-creator Michael Shur and The Decemberists' front man Colin Meloy experience a mind meld over the concept for the band's new "Calamity Song" video. Independently both men imagined a cast of tweenlers reenacting a game of Eschaton, the tennis-based reenactment of global nuclear warfare featured in David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest.
