John Mulaney and Nick Kroll Made Some Pretty Great Bear Jokes on 'The Jeselnik Offensive'

Long-time comedy buddies John Mulaney and Nick Kroll were on The Jeselnik Offensive last night — as themselves, not as Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland — and they used some of their time on the panel to talk about bears. If that description alone isn't enough to make you want to watch the clip, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Casey Wilson and Adam Pally Talk George Zimmerman on 'The Jeselnik Offensive'

There was a little bit of a Happy Endings reunion on The Jeselnik Offensive last night with stars Casey Wilson and Adam Pally appearing on the program to do what they do best: discuss controversial legal rulings. Nonetheless, it's pretty great to see the cast of Happy Endings continue to work together despite the show being no more.

Anthony Jeselnik Draws Criticism for Mocking a Shark Attack Victim on TV

On his new Comedy Central series The Jeselnik Offensive last night, comedian Anthony Jeselnik discussed the recent death of a New Zealand man who was killed by a great white shark and then proceeded to introduce a segment called "Shark Party!" in which he joked around about being excited about the tragedy and held a party to celebrate it while a bunch of ladies dressed as sharks danced with him. New Zealand's One News reports that the victim's family (unsurprisingly) was "disgusted" by the segment, which concludes with Jeselnik putting the victim's photo onscreen and calling him a "son of a bitch." Being deliberately shocking and offensive and [...]

Anthony Jeselnik, Louis CK, and the Shifting Definition of "Offensive" Comedy

Just as the news broke on Monday that sociopathic dreamboat Anthony Jeselnik’s Comedy Central show The Jeselnik Offensive was canceled (to no small amount of glee from certain New Zealanders), Huffington Post Live released a video interview with Artie Lange, where the recently sober comic addresses his past use of the word “faggot” and other offensive slurs. “Times have changed, comedy has changed,” Lange says. “We live in a more enlightened time where you should think twice before you speak, because we’re talking about people.” While Lange was only referring to himself, it was a very timely comment for Jeselnik, who has built a career out of manufacturing [...]

Eric Andre Set Off Fireworks and Exposed Himself on 'The Jeselnik Offensive'

America's most unpredictable talk show guest Eric Andre is the guest on tonight's episode of Comedy Central's The Jeselnik Offensive, and here's a clip of him setting off illegal fireworks on the show. See below for video of the other crazy thing he does on the show tonight: pulling down his pants in response to a joke from fellow panelist TJ Miller:

Talking to Anthony Jeselnik About 'The Jeselnik Offensive,' His Career Goals, and What Comedy Central Won't Let Him Say

2013 has been a prolific year for comedy’s resident dark lord, Anthony Jeselnik, with the debut of his new show, The Jeselnik Offensive, and his new album, Caligula. Fresh off last week’s premiere of season two, I caught up with Anthony to find out what we can expect this season, if his mother is offended by his jokes, and if he was scared to make fun of cancer to actual cancer patients.

When you started out as a comic, was TV always your goal?

No, I originally wanted be a comic writer. I liked the idea of writing because you get to do it again every single week or [...]

Anthony Jeselnik and Pete Holmes Talk to Each Other About Comedy Stuff for 'Vulture'

"On Fallon, we would have these pitch meetings. And every single time I would pitch, it would be the biggest disaster of all time. Some of the writers would laugh, but Jimmy would always stare at me as if I was trying to make fun of him, which I wasn’t at all. The producer said to me a couple times, 'Listen, we all know you’re funny, but these bits you’re pitching, they’d be great for The Anthony Jeselnik Show, but they’re not right for The Jimmy Fallon Show.' And after a couple times hearing that, I was like, 'God, that Anthony Jeselnik Show sounds really funny.'"

– Anthony Jeselnik, star of Comedy Central's new series The Jeselnik [...]

Anthony Jeselnik Says 'The Jeselnik Offensive' Has Been Canceled

At a performance at the New York Comedy Festival over the weekend, Anthony Jeselnik told the crowd that The Jeselnik Offensive has been canceled by Comedy Central. According to The Laugh Button, the comic said the show had already been canceled and wouldn't be returning for a third season, adding that he no particular future plans with Comedy Central.

Ratings for the weekly topical show had been slipping over the course its 18 episodes, and as the title suggests, the series was no stranger to controversy. It was also a great place to see comedians tell silly jokes about bears and legal rulings, and also for Eric [...]

Anthony Jeselnik Talks with Conan About His New Zealand Shark Controversy

Here's Anthony Jeselnik on Conan last night, discussing the controversy that resulted when he goofed on the death of a New Zealand shark attack victim earlier this year, which resulted in him getting death threats and someone publishing his parents' phone number and address online. It's a cautionary tale for any of you who are thinking of making fun of shark attack victims on national TV sometime soon.

Comedy Central Renews 'Nathan for You' for a Second Season

Comedy Central did the right thing today and picked up its critically-acclaimed series Nathan for You for a second season. Billed as a "docu-reality" series that follows comedian Nathan Fielder as he uses his business degree to advise struggling companies, Nathan for You is easily TV's best new comedy, and it should get even better in its second season. Created by Fielder and Michael Koman (Eagleheart, Conan),  Nathan For You wrapped its eight-episode first season last week. The network says Season 2 will debut in 2014 and consist of 10 episodes this time around. Hopefully, Comedy Central will allow Fielder to strap himself to the front of a plane to [...]
