The Mindy Project was one of the most exciting shows to watch this TV season, in an odd way. Each week, it seemed like you never knew what show you would get. Would it be the madcap meta-rom-com of the pilot, that leaned heavily on creator and star Mindy Kaling's persona? Would it be the more ensemble-driven, group outing episodes of the early season? Would it go for something heartfelt? Also, who would be in the cast?
Not that I know how producing a TV show works, but it was at least exciting to puzzle through The Mindy Project's weird revolving-door supporting cast this year. MADtv's Ike Barinholtz was [...]

Fox is keeping pretty much all of its comedies for the 2013-2014 TV season. The network just announced that its Tuesday night comedies, Raising Hope, New Girl, and The Mindy Project, have been renewed for a fourth, third, and second season, respectively. The early renewal comes as some surprise, as The Mindy Project and Raising Hope have seen their audiences drop off a little bit, but the new season will bring Hope to the number of episodes needed for a lucrative syndication deal and Mindy has seen the show drawing stronger and stronger reviews from critics and audiences alike following a ton of midseason retooling. The only Fox comedies not [...]

Fox's The Mindy Project, one of this fall's better new sitcoms, is only nine episodes in, but the show has already gone through more changes to its central cast than most sitcoms do during their entire runs. The Mindy Project is being retooled for midseason, and another casting change, the addition of actress Beth Grant, was just announced late last week. This is all getting a little messy, so here's a complete list of The Mindy Project's casting changes so far, although it will probably be out of date by this time next week:
- Stephen Tobolowsky replaces Richard Schiff as Dr. Schulman after the original pilot. [...]

This season, Tuesday night is a sitcom traffic jam in primetime, with three of the four big networks airing comedies all against each other on the same night. Let's take a look at last night's shows, including new episodes of Happy Endings, New Girl, The Mindy Project, Ben and Kate, and Don't Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.
Happy Endings – "P&P Romance Factory"
CLAY: This week's episode, "P&P Romance Factory," seemed a little slow. Even though we got three separate storylines, none of them really stood out. The best story was probably Penny and Alex's, thanks to Casey Wilson's excellent delivery, while Max and Dave's fist bump [...]

It's Thanksgiving week in Sitcomland (and in real life too – call your loved ones), and all your favorite shows are celebrating Turkey Day this week. Let's see what happened last night on the Thanksgiving episodes of Happy Endings, New Girl, Ben and Kate, and The Mindy Project.
Happy Endings – “More Like Stanksgiving”
CLAY: "More Like Stanksgiving" takes the usual sitcom thanksgiving episode flashback and gives it a new twist. In the beginning of the show, Max reveals that he finally got the DVDs from he and Brad's season on The Real World: Sacramento, where they met. Before their Thanksgiving dinner, the group sits down to watch an episode [...]
