Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson Turn The National's New Documentary into a Stage Play

Here's a new video Funny or Die made to help promote indie band The National's new documentary Mistaken for Strangers. In the video, respected thespians and former Bored to Death costars Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson decide to adapt the documentary into a stage play, and the result is a heated dramatic tale of two brothers whose lives are bound by love, music, and plenty of bickering.

Here's the new music video from The National, directed by Daily Show/Bob's Burgers scribe Scott Jacobson. It features Kristen Schall as the president of the USA and John Slattery as her lovelorn bodyguard. It is so strange and great! I love it.

'SNL' Review: Lena Dunham, Guest Stars, and Lots of Impressions

This time last year, Megh Wright and I compiled a list of 10 first-time SNL hosts we'd like to see someday. The list included Stephen Colbert (right?) and the now-sadly-late Philip Seymour Hoffman, but decidedly not Lena Dunham. She was one of the first people we discussed, and we both agreed to pass over the Girls creator/star in favor of figures who might make better hosts. I told Megh then that Dunham would be a person people like us would want to see host, but by the time the episode started, we'd quickly realize, "Oh, this wasn't as good an idea as we thought." Lena Dunham to Host 'SNL' on March 8th

Lena Dunham is going to have her first turn at hosting SNL. According to Deadline, the Girls creator and star is set to host the March 8th episode with musical guest The National. SNL returns this Saturday with host Jim Parsons and musical guest Beck. Hopefully during Dunham's episode, Blerta from Albania will at least make a cameo.
