Three Reasons Chris O'Dowd Is Super Chill

Reason 1 is his take on hanging out with friends who've already had kids: "I don’t see them as much, and whenever I do I have to hang out with this little, flabby-skinned shit who’s terrible at drinking games." Stars: they're just like us!

Reason 2: "It’s not a party if there are 11-month-olds at it." Yep.

Reason 3: He describes his character in This Is Forty as a "shithead."

This guy knows what is up. He is kool with a k. Go read the interview and tell me you don't agree.

Jason Segel to Reprise His Role from Knocked Up in Apatow's New Movie

It looks like Jason Segel is going to be revisiting his Knocked Up character in Judd Apatow's upcoming movie, which may or may not be called This Is Forty. It's still not clear whether or not Seth Rogen or Katherine Heigl will be reprising their roles in the "companion piece" to Knocked Up.

Melissa McCarthy, Super 8's Ryan Lee Join Apatow's This Is Forty

It looks like Judd Apatow's This Is Forty is going head-to-head with The To Do List for most excellent ensemble cast. Either that, or Apatow just wanted to personally make sure I would see the upcoming Knocked Up spin-off. If so, message received. I'm picking up what he's putting down. Joining the recently cast Charlyne Yi, Chris O'Dowd and Lena Dunham, Melissa McCarthy and Super 8's Ryan Lee will play a mother-son duo at the elementary school attended by Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann's children. Alternately, Judd could go ahead and re-cast McCarthy into the original Katherine Heigl role because IF ONLY.

New Details and the First Image From Apatow's This is 40

The LA Times has some new info and the first image from Judd Apatow's next movie, This is 40. The movie will feature Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann revisiting their characters from Knocked Up. As for the plot: "Pete’s music label is struggling and Debbie’s vanity business, a dress shop staffed by the comely Desi (Megan Fox) and the awkward Jodi (Charlyne Yi), needs to help cover the household budget." Leslie Mann explained further: It's the kind of stuff about marriage that you don't get to see in movies. It's about getting older. What the hell happened? Am I making all the right choices? Is this where I'm [...]

Judd Apatow Aims For Dramedy With New Paul Rudd/Leslie Man Film

Details about Judd Apatow's Knocked Up spin-off are few (like, for example, whether the film will actually be called This Is Forty once it hits theaters), but Albert Brooks, who plays Paul Rudd's father, says the film is going for the sweet spot between pillow farts, and that devastating Spider-Man conversation in Knocked Up."That’s where Judd’s going as he gets older, melding [drama and comedy]. He’s developing that [balance] more as more things happen to him; he’s kicking that into his work," Brooks said, when asked to compare the film's tone to Funny People. "There are quite a few scenes where something very funny comes, and immediately there’s [...]

Judd Apatow's This Is Forty Will Probably Cause the 12/21/12 Apocalypse

Judd Apatow's This Is Forty, the comedy centered on Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann's Knocked Up characters, now has a release date of Dec. 21, 2012. Which is a huge deal, because now all of us comedy nerds know exactly what we are going to be doing when the world ends!

Annie Mumolo, Robert Smigel Join Apatow's Knocked Up Spin-Off

No longer able to hide behind their laptops and filthy dog puppets respectively, Annie Mumolo and Robert Smigel join Judd Apatow's newest film, rumored to be titled This Is Forty. The two will play best friends to leads Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd, offering them comical advice about how to survive the crushing nightmare prison that is monogamous married life (I'm infering).
