Tina Fey Will Play Jason Bateman's Sister in 'This Is Where I Leave You'

Tina Fey has just joined the cast of a new movie called This Is Where I Leave You, a comedy-drama that will also star Jason Bateman, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Based on the 2010 novel of the same name by Jonathan Tropper, the film follows four grown siblings (two of which will be played by Bateman and Fey) dealing with the loss of their father and his last request that they all spend a week together under the same roof for the first time in decades. Jason Bateman, Zac Efron, Leslie Mann, Goldie Hawn to Play a Mourning Jewish(?) Family

This Is Where I Leave You is the story of four siblings who come back to their old home to sit shiva for their deceased father. The increasingly un-Jewish looking Bateman, Efron, and Mann are in talks to play three of these siblings and Hawn will be the mother. Jonathan Tropper, the author who wrote the original novel, is adapting the film for Adam Shankman (Rock of Ages and Hairspray) to direct. Considering Shankman's background, I expect a festive version of the Mourner's Kaddish and rip-roaring dance number where the cast saunters around the house covering mirrors.
