Talking 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' with Showrunner Tim Carvell

In December it was announced that longtime Daily Show head writer Tim Carvell was leaving to serve as showrunner and executive producer of John Oliver's new HBO show Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. After years of writing for publications like Fortune, Entertainment Weekly, and McSweeney's, Carvell joined The Daily Show in 2004 and was promoted to head writer in 2011. CBS Snags News Shows From Daily Show and SNL Writers

The second is from former SNL writer and Monk creator Andy Breckman, and it's called Big Dreams. It will "use fantasy sequences to contrast a family guy's anticipation of life events with how said events actually turn out." Both of these sound better than anything based on a jokey Twitter account, so I'm OK with it.
