At a certain point in the recent WTF episode with Tim & Eric, Maron brings up how sometimes they fuck around in interviews and do bits and stuff. He keeps asking them what their strategy is and what they’re trying to say or how they prepare for them, and it gets to a point where you just want to say, dude, they’re just…being funny guys. That’s kind of what it all boils down to.
After that I started thinking about these kind of non-interviews, the ones where the subject isn’t totally cooperating with the interviewer — and sometimes they’re the most memorable ones. I like to think you can [...]
Adult Swim recently released this rejected pilot for a potential show online. Called The New Big Ball, it was a 2010 pilot for a game show hosted by Neil Hamburger that was directed and produced by Tim Heidecker & Eric Wareheim. Tim & Eric also wrote the show alongside Neil Hamburger. We recently included The New Big Ball on a list of TV pilots we most want to see put online, and then Adult Swim uploaded it a week later.
Tim and Eric’s new YouTube channel JASH may not have the same amazing ring to it as Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, but fans of the TV show will be happy to know JASH has a lot of the same sensibilities.
And it would be one thing if JASH was exclusively a venture between Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, but the channel has comedic heavyweights Reggie Watts, Sarah Silverman, and Michael Cera as partners as well.
Together, they're producing short films, music videos, web series, and other projects for JASH, which Wareheim describes as a “place of good.” Since Tim and Eric went off Adult Swim three [...]
Eric Wareheim of Tim & Eric fame directed this beautiful and funny music video for the band Beach House, starring Twin Peaks' Ray Wise, and it manages to one-up Twin Peaks in being all surreal and weird and stuff.
Here's an animated music video for the song "Jambalaya" by Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, which also doubles as a recipe for jambalaya. Tim & Eric recorded the song in character as the '70s "swamp rock" band "Pusswhip Banggang," which they introduced years ago on Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! (video below). The video coincides with Tim & Eric releasing "Jambalaya" as a 12-inch record via Drag City today.
The first episode of Tim & Eric's Bedtime Storiesis their Halloween special, airing on October 31 at midnight on Adult Swim. To promote the 30-minute special, which stars Zach Galifianakis, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim made this spooooky haunted house promo.
The new YouTube channel JASH, featuring original videos from Sarah Silverman, Michael Cera, Tim & Eric, and Reggie Watts, launched last week, and here's the trailer for a new JASH web series called Tim & Eric's Go Pro Show, which debuts April 15th and revolves around the comedy duo attaching cameras to their heads to show you what their lives are like. After years of wondering what it's like to be Tim & Eric, you'll finally get to find out.
Here's "Running Out the Clock," a fake Bob Dylan song that Tim Heidecker of Tim & Eric fame released in advance of Bob Dylan's fake performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, which is not a real thing that will happen this Sunday. I would actually watch the Super Bowl halftime show this year, though, if Tim Heidecker was planning on charging the stage and grabbing the mic from Beyonce so he could sing this song as Bob Dylan.
Adult Swim announced that they'll be airing a couple of pilots from Adult Swim stars later this month. The first, Filthy Sexy Teen$, is a riff on Pretty Little Liars created by Paul Scheer and his NTSF:SD:SUV compatriots Jonathan Stern and Curtis Gwinn. Adult Swim hasn't ordered the pilot to series yet, but they're airing the pilot, which stars Marshall Allman, Hannah Kasulka, Steven Yeun, Johnny Pemberton, Casey Wilson, and Chris Parnell, on Thursday, October 10th at 12:15am.
The other Adult Swim pilot airing this month is for Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories, a Twilight Zone-esque anthology series created by and starring Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim that has [...]
Michael Cera, Sarah Silverman, Tim & Eric, and Reggie Watts have teamed up to create content for a new YouTube channel called Jash, which is set to launch next week. The five comedians will be kicking things off by sitting down with Scott Aukerman for a live episode of Comedy Bang Bang at the South by Southwest festival, video of which will be streamed live this Sunday at 1pm EST/10am PST at this YouTube link. Feel free to just hang out on that blank YouTube page for the next 40 hours and wait.
The Hollywood Reporter announced yesterday that Daniel Kellison, creator of The Man Show and ex-producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live, is developing two new YouTube channels, Jash and Video Podcast Network, which are both expected to launch in January. Jash is a comedy network that will feature content from Sarah Silverman, Michael Cera, Tim & Eric, and Reggie Watts (all of whom have had a great deal of success with web vids in the past), while Video Podcast Network will present – you guessed it – video versions of popular podcasts. Adam Carolla is so far the first and only one to sign onto Video Podcast Network, but [...]
