Get Excited About Portlandia's Season 2 Guest Stars

Portlandia comes back to IFC for its second season on January 9th, and it sounds like they're keeping the bar set pretty high, at least in terms of guest stars. I mean, it's tough to argue with this list: Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg, Penny Marshall, Jack McBrayer, Tim Robbins and Amber Tamblyn. And yes, Kyle MacLachlan is returning as the mayor of Portland, and of my heart.

Here's a new clip from the premiere episode of The Spoils of Babylon, IFC's epic miniseries parody produced by Funny or Die, featuring oil tycoon Jonas Morehouse (Tim Robbins) as well as a forbidden love scene between his daughter Cynthia (Kristen Wiig) and adopted son Devon (Tobey Maguire). IFC will premiere The Spoils of Babylon with two back-to-back half-hour episodes on Thursday, January 9th at 10:00PM, so get ready for much more hot economy talk in 2014.

Will Forte to Star in the Elmore Leonard Adaptation 'The Switch'

Will Forte and Tim Robbins just signed on to replace Ty Burrell and Dennis Quaid in supporting roles in writer/director Dan Schechter's big-screen adaptation of Elmore Leonard's 1978 novel The Switch, according to Variety. The crime drama marks Forte's second non-comedic movie after Nebraska, a father-son road trip drama he and Bruce Dern starred in for filmmaker director Alexander Payne. The Switch is a prequel to Rum Punch, the basis for Quentin Tarantino's movie Jackie Brown, with John Hawkes and Mos Def (who now goes by Yasiin Bey, apparently) playing Ordell Robbie and Louis Gara, the characters that Robert DeNiro and Samuel L. Jackson portrayed in Jackie Brown. The [...]

Adam Pally Will Get Tim Robbins Laid If It's The Last Thing He Tweets

Either Adam Pally's Tim Robbins live-blogging is an elaborate 8-hour endurance practical joke at the expense of the Shawshank Redeption star, or it actually happened. Either way, yikes! "Tim, you don't make fun of your wingman you old grey fuckface, I'm trying to get your wrinkly dick sucked, cool it on the chubby jokes," Pally tweets as he allegedly tries to help the Mystic River actor hit on their lady cabin mates during a delayed cross-country flight. "The Players about to Play yall, and he's trying to get his hudsucker proxeyed. This motherfucka ain't no dead man walking," Pally writes, eventually addressing the Academy-Award winning elephant in [...]

Tenacious D Give Bob Odenkirk and John Ennis Tinnitus

Tenacious D! It's been awhile. It comes out on May 15th, so until then, enjoy the star-studded clips, above and below.
