Surprise Hit 'We're the Millers' Is Getting a Sequel

The comedy We're the Millers was a surprise hit when it was released last summer, and now, it's being turned into a franchise. THR reports that a We're the Millers sequel is in the works, with the movie's four stars – Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Will Poulter, and Emma Roberts – expected to return although no deals are in place. The original's director, Rawson Marshall Thurber, is also returning, while a new writer, Adam Sztykiel (Due Date, NBC's upcoming midseason sitcom Undateable), is being brought on.

The first movie starred Sudeikis as an experienced pot dealer who hires Aniston, Poulter, and Roberts's characters to be his fake family so [...]

Ed Helms Is Keeping Busy

Before heading back to start filming the new season of The Office, Ed Helms will be spending his summer shooting roles in two upcoming movies. The first is They Came Together, a David Wain-directed/Wain and Michael Showalter-penned movie in which he'll be starring with Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd. He'll play "Eggbert, which is Poehler’s character’s love interest and accountant in this twisted take on the romantic comedy." It sounds like it has almost too many charming people involved, doesn't it?

The second movie will be We’re The Millers, a comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis. He'll play "Brad, who is Sudekis’ boss and who may be [...]

Unsurprisingly, Critics Prefer Indies 'In a World…' and 'Prince Avalanche' to 'We're the Millers'

As summer weekends go, this is a pretty decent one for comedy films. And it's particularly good one for Nick Offerman fans, as he appears in two of the three comedies opening today (In a World… and We're the Millers.)

In a World…, written and directed by actress Lake Bell, is the clear critic's pick of the weekend, earning an 85% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 79/100 at Metacritic. The film stars Bell as a vocal coach attempting to break through the glass ceiling of movie trailer voiceovers, and co-stars Demetri Martin, Ken Marino, and Tig Notaro. The New York Times raves that it's "smart, [...]

Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston May Play a Weed Dealer and His Hooker Fake-Wife in We're the Millers

We're the Millers, a comedy about "pot dealer who pulls together a fake wife and two kids to pose as an RV road-tripping family so that he can smuggle 1000 pounds of pot cross country," may finally be getting its leads: Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston. The movie, written by Wedding Crashers writers Bob Fisher and Steve Faber, initially had Steve Buscemi attached as the lead way back in 2010, but I'm also into the idea of this pairing. Sudeikis as a dirtbag weed dealer driving cross-country in an RV? Yeah, I'm on board.

Watch Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston in the Trailer for 'We're the Millers'

Here's the trailer for the new Jason Sudeikis/Jennifer Aniston drug smuggling comedy We're the Millers that sees them playing a pot dealer and a stripper who pose as a family with two fake kids to sneak a bunch of marijuana over the border. Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball), the movie also stars Ed Helms, Nick Offerman, Kathryn Hahn, Tom Lennon, and Ken Marino, which is a better cast than any drug smuggling comedy I've ever heard of.

I Am Already On Board With We're the Millers

Sure, there's no one attached to star in it yet, but sometimes a synopsis of a movie just sells itself: "A veteran pot dealer decides to create a fake family (the eponymous Millers) to move a large shipment of marijuana across the U.S. border from Mexico." It's called We're The Millers, and the script was originally written by Steve Faber and Bob Fisher, who wrote Wedding Crashers. It's currently being punched up by The Sarah Silverman Show writers Rich Rinaldi and Dan Fybel. And Steve Buscemi was supposed to star in it, but that may be up in the air? Whatever, just don't fuck this one up, guys.
