Craig Cackowski is a long-time improv performer, teacher and coach, and a well-regarded veteran of Chicago’s Second City and iO (Improv Olympic) theaters. Now residing in Los Angeles, he performs regularly in celebrated improv ensembles Quartet at iO West and Dasariski at UCB, as well as shows at Second City Hollywood. You might know him best as Officer Cackowski, the no-nonsense campus cop on NBC’s Community. Word came in a month ago that Whose Line Is It Anyway? would be returning to TV on the CW network this summer, and today, the CW has announced the official premiere date: July 16th. The show will begin airing Tuesdays at 8pm throughout the summer. While Drew Carey is not returning, Whose Line trifecta Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, and Wayne Brady will be back with guest performers joining them. Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the short-form improv TV show that gave us Wayne Brady, is coming back, according to a tweet this morning from one of its stars, Colin Mochrie. Washington newspaper The Wenatchee World covered the story yesterday, reporting that Ryan Stiles will also return and that a new host, Aisha Tyler, will replace Drew Carey, who has no involvement in the revived series.
