
In case you missed them yesterday, here are all the Super Bowl commercials starring cool comedy people. The first is Will Ferrell's ad for Old Milwaukee, his second consecutive Super Bowl ad for the beer brand. Like the last one, it only aired locally (in three cities), which is pretty awesome. The Golden Globes were held last night, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler doing every bit as amazing as you'd expect them to and raising the bar sky high for next month's Oscars host Seth MacFarlane. Even with these two incredibly funny ladies hosting, the bulk of the awards show broadcast was still made up of boring awards show stuff with funny stuff from Poehler and Fey sprinkled throughout. Funny or Die, the web video and TV enterprise created by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Chris Henchy, will begin producing movies, according to The Hollywood Reporter. With the goal of making two to three low-budget movies a year, Funny or Die has partnered with producer Scott Steindorff (Love in the Times of Cholera, The Lincoln Lawyer) to produce films written by, starring, and directed by its usual stable of comedians. This time next year, you'll be sleeping in after a midnight screening of the long-awaited sequel to Anchorman, entitled Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Paramount just announced the film will be released on December 20, 2013, just in time for the holidays. Anchorman 2 will see stars Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner return, along with producer Judd Apatow, writers Adam McKay and Ferrell, and director McKay. Little is known about the plot, but Kristen Wiig is in talks to play Steve Carell's love interest and the film will be see the news team dealing with the development of the 24-hour news cycle [...]
