Steve Carell is going to guest star on The Simpsons! Next fall, he'll play Fat Tony's accountant Dan Gillick, "who may go from crunching numbers to crunching skulls when he’s put in charge of the mob by Fat Tony while the big boss serves jury duty." Fantastic.
The Three Stooges' Will Sasso will return to How I Met Your Mother as Doug the bartender for the show's New Year's Eve episode. Hopefully his appearance will be a more slapsticky and Stoogelike reincarnation of the fistfight his character started in season four.
MadTV's Will Sasso has created Fox's newest sitcom, which "centers on a patriotic and conservative Army Ranger comes home after serving 10 years in the Middle East to find that in the last decade, his brother (the only family he has left) has turned into a liberal, skinny jeans–wearing, anti-establishment, street artist who lives in a hipster neighborhood." Oh, dear lord, not a- a hipster neighborhood! But he's the only family he has left! Oh noooo!
It has been a little over one hundred days since the Vine app made its debut. While Twitter (the owner of Vine) made the transition from a curious and mocked social media application to a respected and recognized fertile ground for creativity after a couple of years of existence, Vine has already made comedic stars out of illustrators, art directors, musicians, and other walks of life that aren't normally directly associated with comedy. And of course, there are the Rob Delaneys of Vine: veteran comedians that found themselves to be uniquely suited to the new app, finding it almost too easy to tell a joke in six seconds or [...]

So, uh, the first trailer for The Three Stooges is out. I don't know what we were expecting for this remake, but if it was anything other than hot nuns, LOTS of eye-poking, and lobsters crawling down people's pants, we were gravely mistaken. Will Sasso, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Sean Hayes also speak like they're cruelly making fun of their accent coach, an effeminate 1930s newsboy recently transported to the present. (Side note: doesn't Chris Diamantopoulos look like Thin Nathan Lane with the Moe wig on?) Oh, and Snooki's in it.
After a lengthy search, the Farrelly Brothers have cast Chris Diamantopoulos as Moe in The Three Stooges. Best known for his roles on 24 and The Starter Wife, Diamantopoulos will hopefully have enough simmering rage to give Will Sasso and Sean Haynes the scalp lacerations and retinal detachments they deserve.

Behold! The three stooges of The Three Stooges, Will Sasso, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Sean Hayes. The Farrelly brothers definitely appear to be showing a deep directorial commitment to the haircuts of the original, that's for sure. Someone's gotta keep the wigmakers of this fine industry in non-allergenic hair-glue! Whether the movie will capture the original's madcap, slapstick, compoundword spirit, though, remains to be seen next April.
Deadline confirms this morning that we are 2/3 of the way to what sounds like an intriguing Three Stooges movie. Reports say that the Farrelly brothers have cast Sean Hayes as Larry, and, as reported before, Will Sasso as Curly. The search for Moe continues; in the meantime Hayes and Sasso can get a jump on building their tolerance for brutal eye gouges.
