
Jason Segel revealed yesterday that he has written a series of three young adult novels and that he hopes to have the first one released later this year. Segel spoke about the books for the first time last night at a Forgetting Sarah Marshall screening and Q&A hosted by filmmaker Jonathan Demme in Pleasantville, New York. Behold, the trailer for Young Adult, the upcoming dark comedy directed by Jason Reitman, written by Diablo Cody, and starring Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt. That group of people alone was exciting, but the trailer has me looking forward to the December 9 release date even more. Theron's lying, adultering, small-dog-having protagonist looks to be – if not exactly likable – original and funny, two traits we've come to expect from Reitman and Cody.
