On The Legacy of Friends — Or Lack Thereof
I don't understand the point this article is trying to make. That Friends is no longer impacting any cultures? Of course it isn't... it's been off the air for quite some time. Are there any other shows that have been off the air for almost a decade impacting any cultures? And say what you want about Friends, it's a great comedy show. It's not the best, far from it, but it's solid. Usually, the people who hate on Friends haven't seen very much of it.

On The Arrested Development Movie Is a Lousy Idea and It's Your Fault
Some of the comments have pretty much said what I was going to say, but I'll go ahead and reiterate some of the problems with this thinking: – Comparing Arrested Development to Freaks & Geeks and Party Down isn't a valid comparison because one show wasn't a comedy fully, and the other show, in my opinion, was good but not nearly as good or detailed as Arrested Development. – If you're going to say "And if you guys don't really remember, the show was sort of starting to go downhill at the end there," then you need to back that up. If anything, the last half of season 3 are some of the best episodes. What I'll add to that is that this article doesn't make much sense because in the end, even IF the movie ends up sucking (I doubt that would happen anyways) it won't take away from what the show already is: the best sitcom of all time. Is that just my opinion? Yes, but the article plays off your opinions as if they're facts. Also, there are quite a few story arcs that don't have an ending: – George Michael and Maeby – George Sr. going with Michael and George Michael in the end – Lucille trying to run Just because the case with George Sr. got wrapped up doesn't mean that there is plenty of ground to cover, and I think it's pretty dumb to think that the writers who brought over 25 hours of incredible storytelling and side-splitting humor would "ruin" the legacy of the show that they created and love. I'm surprised that so many people are agreeing with you on this.

On The Day Comedy Won: How 30 Rock Beat Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
First, I have never understand the problem people have with this type of dialogue. You do know you're watching fiction, right? In this show, that's how the people talk... It's funny that the dialogue gets made fun of in this show, but in The Social Network, the script is one of the things that gets praised the most. Second, Studio 60 isn't a comedy. It's a drama that is based around a fictional comedy show. The reason it's not very funny is either because Aaron just isn't good at comedy (although I enjoyed all the Nicolas Cage bits) or he is making some kind of meta-joke about SNL not being funny anymore. And comparing it to 30 Rock makes no sense because, again, Studio 60 isn't a comedy. It's comparing a drama and a comedy, then complaining that the drama isn't as funny as the comedy. Last, complaining about the location of the fictional show is laughable. Why in the world does it matter where the "show" is located? If it was based in New York, would you give it extra points?
