On David Letterman Looks for Fun in the Special HBO Forgot
Didn't he do two? I think that was the reason I didn't watch any of the Bob Cummings Show - my original reason for visiting - since they had a two-hour limit on how much you could watch back when the place had a recognizable name. It really feels like something he did after the morning show, just judging from the little bit of his stand-up routine I've seen. He's way more avuncular, loose, and "televisual" in the special(s). But then that was supposed to be his persona as a weatherman, so I don't know.

On Saturday Night Live: The Board Game Is a Real Thing
Ditch the Al Franken Decade? Are you serious? The one with Eddie Murphy? Not to mention Martin Short, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and the underrated Tim Kazurinsky. And the cast that debuted in 1986 has some names you might have heard of: Myers, Carvey, Hartman... It was 1995 that started the plummet to the bottom with grinding repetition - despite a few marquee names now and then... Does anybody even remember discrete sketches anymore?

On Messin' with Texas: Why Doesn't SXSW Pay its Comedians?
@iantenna You can watch bands that don't do national touring or come from overseas follow a long arc from Boston in March, down the eastern seaboard, maybe Chicago, then SXSW, and then LA and Seattle, hoping that by then they've got enough buzz for a distribution deal. And it's gotten a lot worse for musicians who earn and plan by the skin of their teeth now that Fuck by Fuck You is defunct.
