On Does Good Comedy Have an Expiration Date?

Friends, Seinfeld, and I Love Lucy still make me laugh just as hard as the first time I saw them... though some older shows have certainly lost their appeal.

On Inside the Avatar Pitch Meeting

Classic. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the characters call the element "unobtainium." Horrible.

On Where (On the Internet) To Watch Every Comedy This Season

It's not free, but Netflix is such a great service that I hardly watch anything other than their streaming service. Shows that aren't on there I can just get the discs shipped.

On The Finally Screenings: I Just Watched Ghostbusters For the First Time

This really resonates with me, as I led a pretty sheltered youth and missed out on a ton of 80's flicks. I am recently catching up, and saw Ghostbusters for the first time last month. It really does hold up better than some other "cult" classics that I just don't get (The Breakfast Club anyone?), probably due to their content's over-reliance on jokes specific to the time period. Bill Murray is a friggin comic genius; nobody can play deadpan like him. I did find the storyline over-the-top, but it was very tongue-in-cheek and thus worked pretty well. GB2 is up next!
