On Messin' with Texas: Why Doesn't SXSW Pay its Comedians?
@Francesco Rinaldi@facebook "it's just that bands...have corporate sponsors or angel investors to float their costs." Musicians aren't whining cause they've figured out how to get paid. Comedians will probably at some point figure out how to do the same at SXSW.

On Up All Night Recap: "First Christmas"
Judging by the AV Club commenters, a segment of Community fans does seem to resent Up All Night and think its success is why Community is on hiatus. Which seems wrong-headed to me; if Up All Night had failed, we'd still probably be missing Community, but instead Whitney would stay on Thursdays with the additions of the Chelsea Handler sitcom.

On Community Recap: "Studies in Modern Movement"
Your link to "Somewhere Out There" reminded me of something: have they completely dropped the "Shirley wants to open a small business" storyline? I'd much rather have that back than more "Shirley is a judgmental Christian" stuff.

On Emma Stone and Fred Armisen Speak Without Speaking in SNL Promos
Dear NBC: Don't put commercials in front of what is basically a commercial for your own show. It's tacky.

On Up All Night Recap: "Parents"

On Kermit Was Kind of a Dick: Dissecting the Worries About the New Muppets Movie
@Joshua Kurp Not that I necessarily want to defend Frank Oz being a complaining old fart, but could it just be that for him Star Wars is just a paycheck while The Muppets are something that is important to him?

On Happy Endings Recap: "Secrets And Limos"
Best bit of the show was when Jane said her vision board got her Brad, and he says it actually wasn't a picture of him but "one of the guys from In Living Color."

On Ricky Gervais Claims to Not Be Mocking the Disabled with His Obviously Disabled New Character
@Joshua Ungerleider True, though does anyone actually believe that Gervais doesn't mean to offend with this? Offending has kind of been his shtick for a few years now.
