On The Lost Roles of Rainn Wilson

For a second I was like, wait Rainn Wilson was in that terrible Sasha Grey attempt at a crossover movie? Apparently that's a different "Girlfriend Experience." Phew.

On Rashida Jones on Celeste and Jesse Forever and If She'll Write a Parks Script

Hallie, your version of writing street cred sounds more to me like just living in NYC in winter.

On The Onion Could Make The Move To Chicago

a lot of people who live in new york and are comedy writers who have limited means dont want to move cross-country. that's why it sucks for them internally. externally, im sure halle, as a comic and a writer herself says "NOOOO" like that because it's kind of a bragging rights type of thing to have such a comedy institution in the NYC. with that said, i'm in chicago not NYC, and my roommate and i love writing, comedy, the onion, and having new jobs. BRING IT.

On The Daily Show's Kristen Schaal Has A Novelty Vagina Wall Hanging To Sell You

please. for the love of gods great and small, halle. dont make me watch that video again. i like to think i love vaginas. ive spent quite a lot of time with them over the last 9 years or so. but JESUS CHRIST if that singing purple silicone pussy wasn't a profoundly horrifying thing. also. "...non-stop fuck train." is the best sentence you have ever written. frame it. mount it. show it to your grandchildren, for it will be your undying legacy in this life and the next.

On Breaking Down Each Cast Member's Contributions to SNL Season 36

@Adam Frucci ok so it was purposeful. i guess that perspective does make it kind of not worth it to count him. i just had a thought, though. i wonder if myers likes the role he has carved out for himself. being basically a writer with one high profile gig a week (and none of the requirements or shames of having to be consistently hilarious in varying roles) may be a comfort. or it may be something he secretly hates. maybe i just dont know enough about SNL

On Breaking Down Each Cast Member's Contributions to SNL Season 36

so, i'm just wondering if leaving seth myers out of these calculations and reflections was purposeful or merely an oversight. I feel that your opinions are largely spot-on, but leaving out the head writer of the show and (what i believe to be, correct me if i am wrong) the longest-running current cast member seems odd.

On RIP Kristen Wiig's Gilly and Penelope

yeah. gilly was run into the ground on the second sketch she appeared in. penelope was ok, but i think it is fine to see her go. both of these characters fell too closely to the old Mad TV formula: let's put someone who ESSENTIALLY has a mental disability into a room with a bunch of people who act like they dont and watch them react! doctor's office? check. classroom? check. cocktail party? check. smart play, ms wiig.
