It was in 2008, but the King of the Hill episode ("Lady and Gentrification") about hipsters did a good job of showing these folks seeking and ruining "urban authenticity." I think the first use of the word "hipster" I can recall hearing outside discussion of beat culture was the episode of Seinfeld where Kramer's girlfriend calls him a "Hipster Doofus."
