On A Fairly Comprehensive Guide to Comedy Podcasts: Comedy and Everything Else
The unfortunate truth is that CaEE is a once-great podcast that has gradually gone downhill since the departure of Todd Glass. It's pretty much just Jimmy's Bitter Soapbox now, with Stef the Sycophant occasionally being allowed to chime in with her admiration. The donations spiel was funny once, maybe even 3 or 4 times. It's ceased to be amusing and now smells of desperation and, yes, bitterness. Totally agree on the forced laughter, too. It's gotten really noticeable and makes me cringe every time. The redeeming factor of the show is that it still manages to pull good guests, and they can be quite entertaining when the conversation manages to steer clear of Jimmy's pet issues.
