On Apple's $.99 TV Show Rentals Miss the Mark
People have been laughing at Apple's idiotic proprietary hardware policies since the 80s. They do this every time they launch anything. The idea is that if they have an explosive seller like the iPod every decade or so, the piled-on profits from proprietary accessories will compensate for the many dismal failures in between. It's a stupid business model, but it appears to work.
