On Looking for Comedy Under Communist Rule in East Germany

I liked this joke from the lives of others: Early in the morning, Honecker arrives at his office and opens his window. He sees the sun and says: “Good morning, dear Sun!” The sun replies: “Good morning, dear Erich!” Honecker works, and then at noon he heads to the window and says: “Good afternoon, dear Sun!” The sun replies: “Good afternoon, dear Erich!” In the evening, Erich calls it a day, and heads once more to the window, and says: “Good evening, dear Sun!” The sun is silent. Honecker says again: “Good evening, dear Sun! What’s the matter with you?” The sun replies: “Kiss my ass. I’m in the West now.”

On The Arrested Development Movie Is a Lousy Idea and It's Your Fault

I disagree. I mean, Arrested Development is in a completely different league than Party Down or Freaks and Geeks in my opinion. I think it's just a much better show. Whether or not they make a movie won't have any effect on three seasons of great television. It's not really going to soil it. I didn't like 'Fire Walk With Me' all that much but 'Twin Peaks' is still one of my favorite shows. The idea that I got to spend ANY more time in the universe of that show was a good thing.

On Have You Ever Actually Seen The Shows You Claim to Hate?

Concurred on The Simpsons. It's still a great show. I've continued to watch and am rarely if ever, super disappointed. I even think new Simpsons is better than Futurama but that is sometimes considered blasphemy.
