On The Simpsons: Not a Kids' Show Since 1989

The question isn't whether the line was "skeevy" so as much as it was just lazy writing that the writers have been coasting on for years. Truck drivers are disgusting mongoloids with little respect for women? Welcome back to the 80s.

On The Art of Bromance, or Franco and McBride Make a New Friend

Off topic but the latest project from McBride/Jody Hill/David Gordon Green wheelhouse 'Black Jack' setup at Comedy Central is the single funniest thing I've read in the past decade. Like 'Black Dynamite' meets 'Rambo.' Hilarious.

On In Defense of the Multi-Camera Sitcom

Fall 2011 Breakdowns for Comedies: [multi-camera/single camera] ABC - 5/5 CBS - 8/0 (one undecided) NBC - 5/7 FOX - 1/7 (not including cartoons) As long as CBS sticks around and wants to open up another night of comedy to run with Big Bang Theory, multi-camera will always be around. Interesting that ABC has gone away from their heavy single slate to a more balanced format, even though 'Best With You' is the obvious weak link on the Wednesday night comedy block. With NBC, probably just throwing anything against the wall at this point.

On The Simpsons Predicted 9/11, According to a Very Legit Conspiracy Theory

The Simpsons clip is unequivocally coincidental but that Lone Gunmen clip, which I completely forgot about, was definitely weird to rewatch after so many years.
